Breast Reconstruction

43-year-old female with a history of left breast cancer who underwent bilateral mastectomies followed by radiation and chemotherapy. She had placement of tissue expanders at an outside institution and was referred to Dr. Kind following herniation and impending exposure of her left breast tissue expander. The pictures shown are pre and post gracilis (inner thigh muscle) myocutaneous microvascular flap for breast reconstruction. To reach the patient’s desired breast volume, silicone implants were placed. She then underwent nipple reconstruction and tattooing.

Post-op photos are two years after nipple reconstruction and tattooing.
